Philip Pablo, chef and author, starts at the beginning with an easily understood overview of the DASH Diet. The author also provides a list of foods that fit the DASH Diet, a regimen that promotes health for everyone, not just people suffering from hypertension. If you or someone you love and cook for suffers from hypertension, the recipes in this cookbook will please one and all. No one will feel deprived of anything because the recipes are uniformly delicious.

The breakfast recipes are a wonderful, healthy way to start the day. The Asparagus Frittata is an appetizing dish that can make your next brunch a standout. The Creamy Pear and Squash Soup is delightful, the flavors complimenting each other in a smooth, subtle way. The Beef and Barley Soup can be a hearty meal with the as addition of a side salad. The Grilled Salmon with Green Beans is as appealing to the taste buds as it is to the eye. Top anything off with the scrumptious Lemon Cheesecake and people will be talking about your culinary prowess for days to come.
There are 50 winning recipes in this go-to collection! And the more you DASH to it, the healthier your diet will be.

I love the cover of this book, it really attracted me to it but I don't like the "lazy ass "on it. I think things like this really draw people away from a product and that is the reason why I gave it a four star rating. The other reason for my four star rating (which I almost made a 3.75 ) was because of the lack of photographs of the food. I read a similar cook book of his that had actual photographs of food that your dish should turn out to look like. I like visuals when looking in a cook book. There was some photograph lackage there as well but this one had no photographs that showed up in the E-book version. If you want the paper back version it is 97% more the price then the E-book. I just think the cost and effectiveness of clicking on links to the recipes is more my forte.

The price of the E-book is fantastic at 99 cents you get 50 wonderfully well written recipes that are simple and easy to follow. The instructions
show you all the ingredients you need and how to place them. I think, however, it could use substitutes for allergies (such as peanut or
lactose intolerant people. I noticed a lot of "cheese" meals in here. There are alternatives to Mac and Cheese.) I found it wonderfully
charming how it was able to link to the recipe you wanted at the beginning. The sub categories made it easier to figure out what meal you
wanted to make or even if you wanted to plan an entire day of meals. The idea for more organization in the Table of contents would be more helpful. I want to make chicken I won't want to search around through an entire list of herb marinated shrimp and grilled mushrooms to find it. I think a bit more organization would make this book more helpful. There is , however , only 50 recipes so there isn't much to go through in order to find what it is you are looking for.

I enjoyed finding things like apple coleslaw and apple meatloaf because those are unique and I have never thought of doing anything like that before. The author Philip Pablo is known for his unique meals and it was refreshing to find some in there. I think more of the uniqueness should be brought to the table when serving up this cookbook for dinner.

It was easy to understand, easy to follow and even gave a calorie count for those who are aware of things like that.

I think this book would be so much more with photographs but the dishes are inspiring and I am willing to try a few of these to spice up my meals a bit and give my life variety. I recommend it to anyone else who is looking for that exact thing too.

Pablo is a professional chief who clearly has a uniqueness all his own to create quick and easy recipes. This cookbook covers the Dash Diet that gives anyone following this diet, excellent recipes to cook scrumptious meals that aren’t boring.

I have to be honest I didn’t know much about the Dash Diet but after reading up on it I wanted to see if I could find simple recipes in order to get started. I came across this cookbook and was intrigued to check it out and learn even more.

I did like that the ebook version is broke down into sections like a book style cookbook that make it easy to find types of foods such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc. The directions are clear and precise using simple ingredients that make any meal seem gourmet. I did have a few disappointments causing me to only give a four star rating. While the book’s recipes are excellent there are no pictures to show what the food looks like which is a turn-off for a cookbook. An index between each section and a full index at the back of the book would be greatly helpful too. Also I am not crazy about the title but that is easy to get pass once you dive into the delicious recipes.

So overall if on the Dash Diet or like me thinking of getting started, you can’t go wrong with the recipes in this cookbook!

I put on a little bit of extra weight over the last couple of years. My life got kind of busy. Long hours of work just didn't offer me as much time to cook healthy meals and shop at speciality stores to assemble good and nutritious meals. A few years of extra stops at fast food restaurants and other bad habits led to an extra twenty or so pounds tacking on to me.

Like a lot of people I fought and tried many diet programs to help me take it off, and additionally to deal with the slightly elevated blood sugar issues that I was beginning to deal with. The Dash Diet was a life Saver, and I recommend it to everyone. It even is Diabetic friendly.

These receipes are wonderful and totally brainless, and even for me, and I can't really cook well to save my life. I love this cookbook.

I really didn't buy this cookbook because I'm on diet. I'm newly married and meal planning is such a pain. I am also not used to cook for someone else. I needed to find recipes that are easy, fast, yet healthy meals and this was the book for me. I've browsed every page and I've seen a lot of interesting meal that I am actually excited to prepare for my husband and myself. I've tried about 3 different recipes so far and my husband absolutely loved it. Thanks to this book, I seem to be a better cook for my husband now.
